There are a lot of Chicken Littles who run around crying that the sky is falling every time it rains. If you don't understand the difference between today's economy and the economy that was upended by tariffs in the 1930's then don't start preaching gospel. Rich, it doesn't take much creativity or imagination to be an armchair quarterback. If you have something constructive to offer, why don't you call the White House and tell them who you are and what your credentials are. I'm sure they'll drop what they are doing to let you set them straight. That's what Clinton would have done if you had offered advice on how to handle the PR nightmare with Lewinsky, right? Your fear of being driven into a 'massive Depression' has credence only because there are a number of you Chicken Littles spreading unreasoning fear to other, less informed individuals. Unfortunately for everyone, there are a lot of less informed individuals who might actually believe what you have to say and that, of course, has the potential to create a self-fulfilling prophecy. It's time for you and your cadre to develop some responsibility and stop trying to destabilize everything by distributing your unfounded gibberish. According to you, we won't have to worry about it because the House and Senate elections later this year will result in a decided shift away from Republican control/influence. So why are you so critical of Bush's efforts here? Could it be because you aren't so sure of the accuracy of your predictions?
