Billy reminds me of Adolf Hitler. He never listened to the generals of his appointed junta! In truth, when it came to military decisions, Hitler was right and the generals wrong for about the first two years of the war (generals had been trained in the all school of war, which lead to the useless massacres of WWI. Hitler had been in the trenches and he knew better). This bolstered his confidence and so he ended up not listening to the generals at all, even though later on the career brass guys were right and he was wrong... That and the fact that he was a madman did him in...
