Yeah, that's the one HAHAHAHA....
RE Who wants to be LONG, well shorters must recoup once and awhile and actually give some extra liquidity for the mkts. They may also shift the targets as stocks with lofty P/Es and a hint of accounting irregs become easy targets. As a daytrader, I tend to take a bunch off the table, each day before the close, particularly when I feel that we have a chance to gap up the following day.
The words it is a traders market have never been more true. I wrote here weeks ago, how the scandals relating to US corporations would have a profound effect on the US greenback, and to expect more related pressure on equities. That scenario seems to be continuing today.
As a former currency trader, I can tell you that the global money flows will go to where it feels safe, if that be euro dollar funds, or Canuck treasuries, or the Yen, so be it.
