i'll agree with you this far: anybody eating meat from mainstream supermarkets is taking a larger risk than they realize.

i have on occassion ranted about the pathetic quality of produce in this, the wealthiest country on the planet - especially the pathetic shiny red flavorlessness that passes for a "tomato" - but meat is even worse.

imo there is nothing wrong with eating meat...if it's free-range, pasture-fed, antibiotic and hormone free, etc etc etc. yes, it's more expensive, but (a) it tastes much much better and (b) Doren is right about the mainstream alternatives being chemical factories.

either be a vegan or eat only vegans: no cannibal-cow burgers!

"The planet Vega has:

"The largest polluter on Vega is not the Cattle industry as it is in the United States."

Vega is a star, not a planet.

You may need more meat in your diet.

Did anyone see the show 60 Minutes (?) did about re-dated meat sold by supermarkets? Pretty sure they nailed Kroger for consistantly re-dating.

I think it was Food King.
