Not only do the ordinary equity holders get pounded, everyone who ran to gold to make money while the rest of the world imploded is getting nailed too.

Looks like capitulation to me.

Yes, looks ugly at the start. No other way to say it. If there is no rally intraday then this may be the first day of perhaps a few which takes us to at least DOW 7000-7200 and NAZ 1000-1100.

HEDGE FUND MANIPULATION --- CNBC reporting that Hedge Fund reps are whispering in reporters' ears about the possibility now of a rate cut by the Feds during an emergency meeting.

The chance of this being true is very small, IMHO.

This is the very type of manipulation that goes on behind the scenes that we always get 2nd or 3rd hand. Again, the rumor doesn't have to be true, it just has to get people to react to it and then a snowball effect occurs. They know it and I hate it.

Of course it's not just Hedge Fund manager's but anybody with that can get away with it. Slimy, very slimy and why the small guy is really at a disadvantage in these markets compared to others!
