i can tell you one thing copper is a lot better buy now than a month ago, but it's not my favorite metal

I wouldn't think it would be. I'm playing the "economic recovery" scenario. I'm covering my gold shorts today too but will put it back on if we rally on more worries. There's waaaay too much gold sitting above ground and no real industrial use for it. Copper is directly tied to the world economy and although I think there's a lot of capacity to come back on stream, I think it will take prices around 90 cents to make it worthwhile.
