I think eventually the fed will figure out a way to inflate Gold was going up with permanent creation, as soon as they slowed adding permanent (about a month and a half ago) it started to look weak. Eventually they will have to pump up the permanent, but they haven't started yet (I guess they are looking for the price of gold to correct and the dollar to rally). The coupon passes are what you need to keep an eye on if you want to know what the POG is going to do.
