When he doles out pardons in an indiscriminate fashion and giving rise to the appearance that those pardons may be for sale or available to repay political favors, I think it damages respect for the Presidency and the judicial system. Does your critisism of pardons extend to George Bush Sr. giving pardons to the very men who might testify to his role in sending arms to Iran? That seems to me a much more serious breach of the public trust. Did you leave that outrage in your other pocket? TP
