tippet - Agree with the first part, but I don't think the second part is so true - little guys just have a habit of getting themselves in the way and there's not much you can do to prevent it

I made a post about this last night:

Message 17785056

In setting up a system to save us from a 1987 style crash, we were set up for a 1929 style wipeout. The 1987 style would have wiped out some companies right away, but we'd be through it by now. The slow 1929 style distributed crash is what is wiping out the savings of so many Americans and its starting to wipe out the corporations and institutions the safe guards were put in place to protect. This is why it make me very nervous when Congress starts trying to pass laws to keep stuff from happening in the future, these laws always have unintended consequences.
