Its hard to imagine they wouldn't know AMD's plans. Has socket A motherboard production declined a lot? If they get their share of the hammerboard market, and don't have too much inventory, they shouldn't be too upset. AMD will continue selling socket A products for over a year, more than enough time to get rid of all the motherboard inventory.
