Borb,
I'm sitting this out. More than 50% of my portfolio is outside the US and continental Europe: JAP, UK, CAN. I have minimal losses right now among these and most are holding up nicely. This is a crisis of trust not of fundamentals. So it's all in those brains not in real life. This too will pass. Remember the AFC ? That was REAL WORLD messup. It was taken care of within 2 years. To address the trust issue all you need is some step up of corporate disclosure and an end to big-stick bankruptcy cases back to a normal level. The VIX and VXN are echoing this nervousness. Sit back relax and look at fundamentals, especially at Price/Book and Price/SAles ratios. Those should be great guiding indicators in today's environment. And above all: don't buy concept stocks with almost no revenue..
