i think it comes down to investor psychology and when greed truly starts to overtake fear.

for now i think the demographics tilt in favor of fear.

1) Jumps like this are not retail buyers. We were helped and then helped more by short covering. The average retail client cannot and does not short.

Sure it is. What we can't gauge is what damage (real long term damage) could occur if we entered August and September on the verge of breaking 7400 with two months of low volume and historical MOOSE COCK returns during those months. Hitting support is one thing........sitting on it as we start to face the next 2 months would be far worse IMO. The retail investor would be destroyed if we capitulated to 4000 from 7400. If we go from 8500 to 6300 they have a chance. The outcome will still be capitulation but the lower end number may be much different. Now quit being a bonehead and contesting me on an observational post or I'm going to have to slap you in the face with my hairy balls.......again! <g>
