I'm aware of the arguments and I am actually siding with Prechter. I believe we are truly in a Kondratiev Winter where deflation of ALL assets occurs. Gold being in a major bear market for 20 years will depreciate the least, but cash in swiss francs, money market and/or short-term treasuries is king. In the 1930's silver was free to float. It rallied during the first wave of market selling but when the next wave of the monster bear began people needed to sell anything and everything to get raise cash.

It already is and will be be deflation followed by inflation. Gold stocks will definitely do well and for somebody who wants to hold for the long-term these are good prices.

But for the trader, the real money to be made is shorting the market, IMO.
