That was so classic!!!!! I remember that well. A good lesson came from those IM's. When spammers start mass emailings for stocks they wnat one thing, volume.

It has taught me not to always wait for a price increase. get a spam, short any volume that comes in because you know the promotors and insiders are selling with you. A lot of profit would have been missed if I always had to have a price spike

That original story should be added to any newbie investors must read list.
