Markets dont go one way forever.
I started my positions 8/01 & lowered cost basis into the
10/01 rally & took profits, maybe a little early but not by
much, a few weeks ago.
I noticed that from month xx/00 to 9/01 these leveraged
funds hadn't made much progress even
though the underlying index had tanked. Volatility kills
them because unlike round trips when simply holding
stocks, you lose on the round trips with these;
if the market goes down 6% tomorrow (after +6% today) the
NAV will be lower than yesterday's close. & the bigger
the moves, the worse the leakage gets.
