Money is the vehicle by which the countless common interests in a republic of a quarter billion people interact. The empty-headed movement to "get the money out of politics" is an expression of ignorance for the most part, and a tactical device of propaganda at the higher levels. A famous liberal, Adlai Stevenson, said it best about populist movements, "They want to take the politics out of politics."...
