The charges for these funds vary with the broker. I have played the Profunds on occasion with good results, but finally just returned to shorting or going long stocks and exchange trade funds like QQQ DIA and SPY. One disadvantage, you have to get in your buy or sell order on mutuals before 2pm eastern, which is somewhat limiting compared to stocks, depending on your trading style. FYI

Speaking of which, anyone heard what's up with single stock futures? Are they trading now? I sure have not heard a thing in awhile...

If you open an account with Profunds, you can submit your order up to 3:45 and it will be filled; with brokers the dedline is 2:00 or earlier, depending on the broker. Fees vary by broker. Check out profunds site www.profunds.com.
