OT, a little Hi Tim and John, The tale that the Jews were the central slave traders is right up there with the tale that Jews control all the banks and media centers of the world. It is complete BS that has been repeated at various times over the past couple of hundred years with zero proof other than citing previous books that claimed it with zero documentation. At different points during the 15th through the 18th centuries, the Portuguese, the Spanish or the English were the leading slave traders, and, if you check, you will find that very few Jews lived in any of those countries in that period. Of course, the anti-semites come back and say, yeah, but it was the Maranos (the Spanish Jews who remained in Spain after the 1492 exile by Ferdinand, and converted to Christianity) who controlled it, secretly remaining Jews. As for that, I have no reply, other than to ask for some primary source documentation. Never has been any, as far as I know. Sam
