13:49 ET TYC Tyco to hold conference call regarding mkt rumors (8.36 -1.64) -- Update -- Co will hold a conference call at 3:15 PM ET to address "certain unfounded rumors"; co says it has $7 bln in cash, has the capability to meet operating expenses and satisfy debt obligations without a need for refinancing through Nov 2003, and will take advantage of mkt conditions to refinance debt and has already begun to repurchase debt in the open mkt. "Any rumors to suggest that Tyco has engaged bankruptcy or reorganization attorneys is irresponsible and false."
