I don't understand how anybody can think the pressure on the banks will ease. With every BK they will have to climb further up the banking rectum. I am sticking with 550 BKX minimum. It's all noise unless it were to take out 740. Chart says down and analysis of trend in real world says down.

naw, completely irrelevant. who cares if a banking company has a higher cost of capital? we don't care debt, remember -- its a new economy. <g>

btw, stay w/ COF. i covered on the break (at $38) and re-entered (at $33) after studying the financials more closely and tracking their spreads for a couple of days. their cost of funds is going UP and their return on funds looks like it is heading down. getting squeezed on both sides.
