Even the B-town ladies, who had their mistake published, fessed up. Or maybe because it was published, they didn't have a choice. <g> BGR said it early on -- he didn't count his employer matching $$$ as money added to the account, but instead bought puts or whatever and all the money that the puts earned he counted as earnings. Therefore, he had an infinite return on those investment dollars -- that would tend to up the average of his 401k when he lumps it together, whouldn'tcha think? <g>

I get 7.5% matching; my pro forma would look much better if I counted that as earnings, too! It's voodoo accounting rationalized by "house money" thinking.
