When I introduced it as "Excellent", I meant it was well done, and it was. They should have run it as "Commentary" instead of as a news article under the International section.

The NYT loves Powell, he was their choice for Pres, I am sure. He has an interesting play ahead of him, if he wants it. Cheney's heart condition will not allow him to run again. Powell almost cinches reelection for Bush if he runs as VP. Bush, et al, would be hard put to reject him. That waltzes him in as Pres in '08.

Relax, Nadine. Just take a pass every once in a while.

It will not hurt the far right cause for the Times to publish an interesting commentary on Powell's position in the admin. The Bush approach to the economy is doing quite enough damage all by itself.

I gather you would prefer they turn the Times over to The National Review or some such.
