SOX charts

daily

60 minute

Was looking back at my SOX charts on my chart page to see when the latest warning signals started, the first ones there are were around May 8. It was about to fail, had some very sudden upside to 550, gapped up huge on a ramp job or upgrade etc., and then started rolling straight down hill. The SOX was trading from 480 to 550 then!

Who says charts can't predict <g>

And it's sure obvious the sector was upgraded several times to unload inventory...the chart is screaming that. Some things will never change.

Fred, here's some updated gold futures charts...

weekly

mywebpages.comcast.net

daily with close up of the flag

mywebpages.comcast.net

If this weekly bullflag goes any lower than this weeks low, it's history. Getting less bullish by the day, with this week's candle a bearish engulfing.

Just dropped below 310 again while I was doing these charts.

The one thing that's making me think it still has a chance is, everyone was thinking the Feb-March bullflag was breaking down, it looked about to collapse and then... exploded on a bull run <g>

I guess we knew to expect this <VBG>
Nothing is improving, but buy 'em anyway says Goldman...

At least they are being upfront about no fundamental improvements near term LOL

08:08 ET Goldman Sachs upgrades semi equipment group
Goldman Sachs upgrades the semi equipment group as company and investor capitulation that orders have turned down drove a sell-off in the stocks; while fundamentals are not likely to improve in the near-term, firm believes that funds flow and seasonality may drive a meaningful move in the stocks. Upgrades AMAT, KLAC, and ATMI to TRADING BUY from Mkt Outperform, NVLS, LRCX, and AEIS to TRADING BUY from Mkt Perform, ACLS to MKT OUTPERFORM from Mkt Perform, MKSI to MKT OUTPERFORM from Mkt Underperform, and CMOS to MKT PERFORM from Mkt Underperform.

Consumer confidence numbers out at 9:45, could get whippy right after the open.

Or change direction instantly...
