Well, there's something you really can't dance away in the pro forma. First call consensus top line revenue estimate was 696.5 million. Pro forma top line was 721 million, or if you want the real deal, GAAP topline was 771 million.

Thompson First call estimate for next quarter is 747.2 in revenue and 24 cents. QCOM forward guidance (I know, they can't be trusted because UBS Warburg says they can't) is for an increase of between 10% to 13% on the top line, which takes us to between 793 million and 814 million on pro forma, or between 848 million and 871 million on the real deal GAAP thing.

C'mon Mucho. I know you think the stock is overvalued. I know you think the Naz is going to 500. I know you think the common is going to be diluted to oblivion, but grit your teeth, admit it and pound it out on your keyboard. QCOM had a great quarter. It won't kill you. It won't even hurt that bad.

Do it for the long suffering longs. Do it for the children. Please. Just this once.

QCOM has always reported both numbers and a reconciliation between them in its quarterly releases. If investors paid too much attention to one set of numbers and not enough to the other, well that's what makes horse racing.
