Yes. If you have $10 billion invested and it falls 40% you might end up with a $4 billion loss. Funny thing is that MSFT had quite a bit of money in Cable and Telcom companies. Those are the companies that have fallen the most. The average cable and telcom stock is down around 95%.

The companies that were spending their cash, or borrowing in order to spend, are in big trouble. Anyone making acquisitions over the past few years was asking for trouble, or at a minimum paying WAY, WAY too much money for whoever they were acquiring.MSFT has been extremely smart to hold onto their cash

then accuses me of lying or distorting????? and then he makes it sound like he sold off all of his MSFT, when he in fact only sold off 20%..... such hypocrisy.....
