Sounds ominous, as in new product lines and markets. As if there's no long term future in what they're peddling now?

AMF: I am very concerned this is a lead in to much worse guidance. Like the new guy can "discover" that the former plans and forecasts were "too aggressive" in his opinion, or some other spew that gives JDSU legal cover. The name of the game is August 14th....unless counsel has advised them this new guy and his "reasonable time for review" is a "get out of jail free" card. Indeed, it may be. The trick is the language "knowingly" make misleading statements. He could argue he had insufficient time to assess the situation, with only two weeks to go. The timing bothers me. anna." very fundamental restructuring " Right to the core..no holes barred and no rocks left unturned. Whatever is not making money or at least paying for itself will be shelved. Very little R&D expenditure ( will rely on Government and Universities). Sales teams revamped to commission only or lower base and higher commission etc. Travel cut to bare minimum. Fewer perks. Pay clawbacks and option re-negotiation for manglement. Layoffs where at all possible.The engineers get to wash their own coffee cups and clean the lunch room themselves. Right down to counting paper clips maybe <GG> No good to try to boost market share cause their ain't no market and they are the lead dog anyway. GEZZUS -- to think I almost went to work for these guys a couple of years ago. SCARWY!
