Hmmm...

You sound like I felt in the 90s with regards to the economy and real estate. Our home values fell about 40% and 11 years after the peak (two years ago or so) we still weren't back to the previous peak. I kept hearing how real estate was doing so well and our values were still slipping. But that was a local condition. Our economy down here is now stronger for it.

As far as the market goes.... well looking back at charts for the indexes since the 1987 crash and even before, stocks went up generally slowly with little volatility until recently. This phenomenon of moving 10-20% in a day is only recent (last few years) and I think after we settle down and bottom, we're going to return to previous patterns. Bwdik?

Is symc still hiring? I see msft is hiring. The strong will only get stronger and the weak will either be bought out or just wither. We need that to grow again.... like pulling weeds from your garden. They sap nutrients from the flowers. Get rid of the weeds and everyone can only look at the flowers.
