Yes! Happy Birthday, DAR!!

Thanks for posting that, Jason. How observant of you to notice.

I hope that all of the DARians have been having a great summer. So far, I've managed to do a bit of travelling. Tripped on out to Nova Scotia to spend a week or so along the ocean. Have been doing plenty of canoeing and have quite a few serious paddling trips planned for the next 2 months. Hoping to spend a few days hiking along the rugged coastline of Georgian Bay (here in Ontario) during September. All in all, spending plenty of time in the outdoors.

Take care all.

How do you think they measure threadyears? Like dogyears? I don't think Rambi will take well to being middle-aged. In fact, when I suggested to her that she might be more comfortable in a little skirted bathing suit instead of a thong at her birthday party, she got very testy with me. I decided not to give her the orthopedic thigh high boots I had specially ordered. Maybe later, after the champagne.

ohmigawd. It's been taht long!? Whoa. Rock on. Tubular. I dissolve in a cornucopia of surfer-talk benedictions.

Helen is 4 1/2. Anyone remember when she was just a sparkle in her daddy's posts? Today she pulled another jaw-dropper on me. Spouse and I had words about some ultimately insignificant difference of style, and we dealt with it by she walked away and I sat there, scowled and picked up the classifieds. (Lesson learned late in life: best thing to do with a foul mood is shut up, read something and let it dissipate.) So Helen came over, touched me on the knee (to make me look up, and it worked), shot me a look that Linda Hamilton probably spent MONTHS getting just right, and said...

"NOW look what you've done."

Right between the eyes. Nolo contendere.

And Tom is just at that size where if I hold him in my arms and he starts to swing his legs ... he scores a field goal. Owie. Big kid, and STRONG. But still jes' two year ole. How do you baby-proof against Bamm-Bamm?
