Eric, Small gold mining companies Like Wildcat Resources. Can't beat it. Mine gold. pay dividends. Old concept. Last refuge for the declining portfolio. Money making enterprise. The first priority on everyone's list is to eat. Second is shelter including the energy for cooking, heating, cooling and transportation. Groceries and energy is where you want to be. Gold mines are the donut shops of the stock market. Other than a few expensive brandies and exotic chocolate cakes that contain gold foil, you can't eat it.
