Showshoe, it's too big to fit into a shoebox or even Baghdad. And just who do you think will aim it? I do not trust the ability of people to make o-rings work right, let alone aim 2km comets. I think I'll stick with my bunker and good luck [sounds like my stock market investments...]

Bangalore is 1 kilometre high and will therefore not get wet unless impact is very close, in which case splatter of hot rock would be a problem too, not mention significant earth tremors which would be well up the Richter scale. Bangalore would also resist a resulting ice-age and monsoons keep the fresh water supply up.
