8% on the current share price or 8% on the share price at the time? I don't think you'll ever see 8% dividend on the share price at the time of the dividend.

Mq, Given this new era of distrust I don't think folks will bid up stocks based on Gilder-type predictions and charts found on web sites. They'll want confirmation in the way of cold hard cash dividends. At one time in this country, stock investors demanded and got risk-premium dividends well above corporate bond rates. I think we're headed back in that direction.

P.S. Why the heck didn't we buy puts on the metalcosmic gold stocks???????? We could have made a bundle!!!
