jjayxxxx, From the start of markets the words of seers and entrail lookers have changed the way people see a company. From the South Seas bubble, through the tulip mania to this latest bubble and burst we have all been unduly influenced by the seers and entrail lookers, or analysts, if you prefer.
Even a sound company can have it's SP fall due to a bad report from one of these seers when nothing has changed in the company.

It is the work of rabble rousers and we , sadly, are the rabble.

Bill

Jay,

Question for you: Do you judge a book by its cover?

Most likely, no. Therefore, why would you race out to buy a stock that has a "Strong Buy" rating on it?

The fact of the matter is simple. People perform more research when buying automobiles or appliances than when they purchase a stock. Caveat Emptor

Remember, if you have an account with a discount brokerage, none of the sell side analysts have a duty to look out for your best interests.
