That is a very nice number, G. My DSL here in Chicago is rated for 1.5 but I usually only get 990.

Using the extreme bandwith test I get 4853 Kb/s. Now here's what's incredible when you do speed tests at dslreports.com
you can compare your results to others with the same ISP. There are users with my ISP getting results almost 3X faster than mine.

Gottfried,

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. Wife and I went to Saratoga for opening weekend. My luck at picking horses had results consistent with recent portfolio performance.

The pcpitstop speed test on my pc running on the linksys router network (connected to cable modem) showed 2899 Kb/s. This particular pc is hardwired to the BEFW11S4.

I look forward to hearing from you when you do set up your wireless network. It really is easy.

Good Luck and good investing.
