The deflationary forces we have had to date have been from the global market -- but I suppose we could grow some at home -- it certainly won't be in health care from the looks of things. We import so much stuff -- the dollar will be inflationary I think -- hey, but who says it is going down very far? That is yet to be seen. If we save more and spend less then the economy will slow, deflationry forces wil build and we will take pressure off the dollar by servicing our own savings needs a bit better than we do now while shrinking the trade deficit. Oh please goldilocks -- one more time around and this time I promise never to refer to my bank account as "money on the sidelines". <g>
