I have looked at Opera too, but my impression is that Opera would share the same security issues as Microsoft Internet Explorer if it has the same market share. Mozilla 1.0, however, has the security benefits of being an open-source project, where bugs are fixed extremely fast before they become important.

Mozilla 1.0 is extremely much better than the beta versions, also known as Netscape 6.x. If you try it out, you'll love it, too. It also has tabs btw... :-)
