I am interested in just getting it going in our district. Mostly because I think a certain amount of standardization in techniques that work in this area would be great. I imagine there may be regional differences in what works in different districts. It would be much easier to implement the progressive standards required by the legislature in Calif. if we knew how teachers were teaching various subjects/skills at various levels. With the smaller children how the material is taught greatly influences how it is remembered- and to get them to retrieve it you need to access it correctly. Their information access systems in their little baby brains are not like adults systems. Or at least this is what I have observed. They are very much context dependent when they try to retrieve previously learned information.
