Well you could always petition the Holy Spirit and ask Him why he inspired Saint John to write "valueless" and "meaningless" concepts and words in the first and second epistles of John. You could explain to him that, in your opinion, this term is flawed and causes much discomfort among those who reject Jesus as the Messiah and son of God. Good luck on your petition!
