<<No, WWII ended the Depression.>>

Ever notice how conservatives will generally tell you that wars precede recessions (Gulf War, War on Terrorism) yet they credit WWII for getting us out of the Depression?

WWII which was one of the great tax and spend government programs of all time. Taxes have never been higher, GDP and federal revenue growth has never been higher than under FDR.

Does anyone think there could be a parallel between the recent steel tariffs and Smoot-Hawley?

Steve
