Really, chicken feathers are used in chicken feed.

I had the head vet at the U of I school tell me that you can take shoe leather, used motor oil and cardboard, grind and mix it, and tests will show it's got great levels on protein, fats and carbs as a dog food although they can't digest it. I think that was his way of saying buy the good stuff.
