Longer term, I think it makes sense for Intel to double up on fabs at similar sites. It's easier to transition workers from one fab to the next if they don't have to change locations. But in this case, you probably know these fabs better than I do. However, I still see Intel decommisioning fabs in the near future to make way for newer technology, but there will certainly be a calculated method for which fabs get decommisioned first. Eventually, if things don't pick up, I think those .18u fabs are likely to be decommisioned sooner, rather than later.
