This scenario is probably part of the analyst "inventory issue" - that all manner of MSM 1X chips are going into the pipeline, the boa constrictor has a huge lump in it, and not much has come out the other end. Working through such a big meal, how soon will the boa need to feed again?

This isn't different from any other significant new product introduction, and one would assume that QCOM has a longer-range sales planning forecast that anticipates this. Plus, I think the "inventory glut" analyst view has a bit of US-centric myopia to it. But, there's some grains of truth to be sifted through.
