If you look at the Periodic Chart you will find that most metals end with ium, eg barium, beryllium, cadmium, californium, cesium, chromium, gallium, germanium, hafnium, potassium, titanium, sodium etc etc. One of the mysteries is molybdenum.....do the Brits spell it molybdenium?
