In investing it's important to remember that there are always worse things that can happen. A few corporate scandals at the trough of a bear market? If the "smart" money is really going short, led by a few Judas goats with shiny credentials, their ultimate (and inevitable) downfall will make everything that has happened so far be quickly forgotten.
