Hi Bob. I tried to reproduce that problem.

I don't know if I configured it correctly, and I'm not sure if you meant after-the-close, or if you were using a six-month Daily. Anyway, I couldn't see a difference with the way I tried it.

Not sure if I understand what you meant by an uptick in MACD. Did you mean the MACD momentum lines had just crossed, or had just crossed the zero line, or the histogram was showing a positive bar?

With problems like the one you're describing, I've had some success sending the StockCharts guys a Problem Report. You have to include the URLs, but that seems to help them isolate the problem. I think I've done that twice in just over a year.

If you notice it again today, please post again.
