here is a question that has been intriguing me for awhile...lets say Mr. John Doe works at one the larger tech or telecom firms that had a pension plan in place...if the tech firm goes busto, what happens to the pension payouts ? where is the $ kept ? is there a risk that Mr. John Doe who might have accepted early retirement for $ 2000 or whatever a month might not get this sum of money ?

thanks to whomever can help out !
