Yup! The notes at the bottom tell it all. Not only is it a slower 750 mhz PIII, it SpeedSteps down when unplugged to conserve battery life and STILL NEEDS 2 BATTERIES TO ACHIEVE THE 6 HOUR TARGET.

Is there anything a Windows conformist wont put up with?

Questions about PC laptops: When on an airplane just before landing, can you pause a movie and sleep the machine by simply closing the cover - even while the movie is running? And then after the next plane reaches altitude, will the movie start-up where it stopped simply by opening the cover?

Yes. In fact, you can configure it to either save to disk or suspend to memory when the case closes, and then revive on the opening {of course, if you have a secure computer, it should ask for a password upon revival, but if you use your computer as a toy, then this would obviously be hassle).

PC laptops allow one to configure any number of things upon various events (like case open, case close, power switch press, etc). Personally, I prefer my laptop immediately suspend to disk on LCD closure; staying is suspend mode also wastes batteries, and nothing is worse than the low battery alarm going off at some inopportune time (although you can have it suspend to disk after a short time if not revived).
