I think you are right about the dividends. I do not know how long this truth will take to sink in. People went on buying and holding gold long after inflation abated into the earlier 1990s, until finally becoming disenchanted. Stocks could be quicker, since they lack the mystique of a tangible metal.

I think we will see gold at $350 and the Dow at 4500 in the next three years. Maybe sooner.

A 4.5% dividend rate implies, I think, stock prices even lower. I don't think the rate on the S&P is yet up to 2%, is it (I have quit buying Barron's)
