Jefferson predicted that democracy would succumb when the majority figured out that they could vote the public treasury into their own pockets. The history of the Social Security and Medicare frauds have been bearing him out gradually. Without privatization, the end will come for these Marxian schemes in such a way as to create great suffering among the people at whom the "feel good" intentions were directed. But what the hell? A lot of pointy headed liberals will have been given coercive power over the years leading up to the great catastrophe. And that was the real goal of the henchmen of Roosevelt and Johnson, wasn't it?
