A local radio stock adviser says JDSU has a tremendous amount of debt and is a canditate to fail JDSU is debt free, unless they issued some debt this past week, and the radio stock advisor is the only one in the know. Somehow I doubt it.

He thinks SUNW is solvent and will ultimately do well BUT says the whole tech group is going to take a year or two of STRONG economic recovery to make a sustained upward motion. All I can say is if you need the money within the next 5 years put it either in the bank or in your mattress (with rates such as they are makes little difference), if you have a LONG time horizon beyond 5 years then at these prices SUNW looks to be a pretty good bet to me. JDN >> Thanks jdn......My time horizon is long term, thats why this downfall intrigues me so much.....right now, 90% of investors are sick of this market and dont want to be anyplace near ANY stock...it'sjust been an ugly, unrelenting, downward spiral.........But, that is the attitude TODAY. What if we recover. What if naz see's 5000 again....even if it takes 10 years to do it.....those that didnt buy now, and sold instead, will be kicking them, and those that bought, will be thrilled they were given the opportunity to buy certain stocks so cheaply.....or maybe in 10 years, we are still mired in all this crap, and half the country is broke.....I have no idea......but what is happening right now, could mean disaster for investors....or it could be the opportunity of a lifetime....IF SUNW hits $30, and it takes 10 years to do it......wont you still be very happy if you bought a truckload at $3? But again, we are assuming a recovery, which is certainly not set in stone......as for jdsu...I agree they are having tough times right now, but even with their billion dollar loss, their balance sheet actually looks pretty strong....and eventually, all that dark fiber will have to be lit....additionally, they are getting into other areas as well, and they have plenty of cash to last a looong time...anyway, not touting jdsu...and in fact, it could pull a lucent and drop to .50 for all I know.....or it could get back above $5.....I have no idea....thanks for your input.....
