<what do you want them to produce? QDNA? They produce sugar (for instance, with the support of EU) and then they hit the stonewall of duty tariffs. What about coffee? Cacao? Tropical wood? >

All that stuff. Plus cars, cellphones, food, clothes and lots of stuff. Duties are a sensible way to finance the running of countries because security is the number one job of governments and that primarily means protection against attack from people outside and also from criminals within.

If they want me to colonize them, they could telephone or write me a letter, or even pop a post in SI. Then, I'd issue instructions for them to follow. Simple really. I wouldn't even have to go there - with email I could send them instructions via cyberspace. I could just write instructions here and they could follow them. My fees would be low. I wouldn't require them even to provide me a palace - I'd supply my own accommodation, food etc. They could give me free CDMA phones as payment and the occasional free safari trip to see the great outdoors.
